On the way back from UBC (to hand in my CompSci Major application) today, I dropped by BOOK-OFF for the first time in 4 months. (It's been too long.)

Anyway, I gotta go pack a bit and then sleep. I'm leaving for Taiwan on July 2nd. Was originally gonna leave this Friday, but because of schedule conflicts with our family friends who're gonna take care of our dogs while we're gone, it didn't work out. Just as well; I need time to finish catching up on my shows. :P

CORALINE - ★★★★★

A young girl walks through a secret door in her new home and discovers an alternate version of her life. On the surface, this parallel reality is eerily similar to her real life - only much better. But when her adventure turns dangerous, and her counterfeit parents (including Other Mother) try to keep her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination, and bravery to get back home - and save her family.
CONTENDER FOR BEST ANIMATED FILM OF 2009. Oh my god, this movie was AMAZING. It was entirely unsettling and creepy for an animated/children's film. I don't know if anyone else was scared of "James and the Giant Peach", but this movie evoked the same...fear. It was like watching one of my own nightmares I had when I was a kid. It's just the little things that creep you out, like the weird character designs and the Other Mother's "kind" smile. I get chills watching the movement of the Actress Sisters...

Just watch the opening scene of the movie, and you'll get what I mean.

Blood: The Last Vampire
A vampire named Saya, who is part of covert government agency that hunts and destroys demons in a post-WWII Japan, is inserted in a military school to discover which one of her classmates is a demon is disguise.

O____O THAT SOUNDS SO DAMN INTERESTING. My type of flick, definitely.

People are probably too lazy to watch the whole video, so just start at 3:00 in for some amazing vocals.

I always tear up during the line at 3:59~4:04 during any live performance of this song.

There was a piano live version on YouTube (with Shiho herself playing the piano) but it was deleted. DAMN YOU YT. That was the BEST LIVE EVER. It was flawness. I cried every single time I watched it. Seriously. Gotta hunt it down on the net. (It's not this one, if you're wondering. Though it's good.)

Best and favourite movie I've seen this year. ♥

If asked to describe this movie in one word, it'd be any one of these: magical, emotional, hilarious, creative, colorful, adventurous, cute, breath-taking, wonderful, awesome, amazing, memorable, nostalgic, a-masterpiece-like-all-other-pixar-movies, etc.

Recommended! Go see it in 3D! The depth perception was astounding.

P.S. Loving the OST as well. I still get teary listening to "Married Life". The piano theme is so beautiful. Not gonna lie; I cried 10 minutes into the movie. (And some more every time ( cut for spoilers ). *sobs*)

Currently flailing over DEAD FANTASY III, IV, and V with kanubijen on Gtalk. SO EPICCCC.

I totally LOL'd over fan reactions every time Tifa got beaten up. Oh, who am I to say that? I had the same reactions. XD Damn Hitomi took all of her materia. >_>

Summoner Yuna was like, mindblowing. And when YOU KNOW WHO showed up...! *dead* OMGGG. I can't wait for the full movies to come out. DFI and DFII were so good.

I am most proud of my FRASIER collection. ♥ It took us a long time to complete, but last year we finally got the 8th and 9th seasons, and ta-da! All 11 seasons right there, making the highest tower. 8DDD

Almost done with my movie DVD catalogue. Will post it when I'm done, cause I'm totally vain like that. It is so amazing though: so far I have 644 DVDs. Harharhar. I bought 3 today: Amadeus, Rear Window, and City of Gods. Why can't I find North By Northwest ANYWHERE?! >:(

What kind of questions do they usually ask? Is it more of a behavioural interview?

I'm really nervous about it, and don't know what to expect.
